Through Partnership with its home metro, Carnegie Mellon’s Metro21 initiative seeks to research, develop and deploy 21st century solutions to the challenges facing metro areas.
Recently, the City of Pittsburgh was announced as a finalist in the DOT Smart Cities Challenge. The City recently submitted their final application. In June, the winner of the challenge will be announced and will receive over $50 million dollars to implement their plan to improve and create new smart transportation solutions in their city.
Metro21 is pleased to partner and support these types of endeavors with it’s community partners. Learn more about our metro partnerships.
